Find local furniture repair handymen in East Sussex

Hello, we are an antiques shop in Brighton, I am trying to replace the Gas Strut on a Vintage EA217 Eames Soft Pad Desk Chair. We have the new strut and have removed the old one from the base, but I cannot get it out of the chair. I have tried hammering and some plumbers grips to twist it but it won't budge. Do anyone have the experience tools and ability to do this without damaging the chair? Many thanks, Simon

The turning mechanism seems to be loose. Seat is moving slightly when sitting on it. Price to be discussed depending on what needs to be done.

Office chair keeps going down

The electric buttons are not quite acting independently. On pressing the recline button, the leg support button starts to move and the chair seems a little unstable

I’m sorry this isn’t very specific....I have no idea what’s wrong! It’s a riser/recliner armchair. It was working fine....now it isn’t. Nothing has happened that might explain why it’s stopped working. I’ve tried a different plug socket and I tried changing the fuse. I’m curious as to what it’d cost to have it checked over.
