We are seeking a qualified gas engineer to replace the current gas pipe extending from the meter at the front of the property to the boiler located in the kitchen. A boiler technician has identified that the existing 22mm pipe is inadequate, resulting in insufficient gas pressure of 12mbar. This pressure level does not comply with British Standards or the boiler manufacturer's recommendations, leading to health check failures that prevent us from securing boiler and gas insurance. To address this issue, we have been advised to upgrade the existing pipe from a 22mm to a 28mm so as to achieve an adequate gas pressure of between 18.5 and 23mbar, which is recommended by British Standards.
