I need to change the battery in a smoke alarm that is at the top of a vaulted ceiling. It's about 5m high in the middle of the room, so you will need a very tall A frame ladder that can be used without a wall to support it. The flat is also empty so there is nothing else to stand on / assist. I am pretty sure that it needs a 9 volt battery as I've changed another in the same room in the past, but if it can't be replaced immediately I just need to ensure that it stops beeping constantly while we sort out a replacement.

It’s a wireless battery powered alarm. I don’t have a ladder so fitter will need to bring one. Two screws into external brickwork.

I have 3 fire alarms that keep beeping. I have changed the batteries but they keep doing the same sound. They either need to be cleaned or removed. One of them is hard to reach and a small ladder is necessary

Remove old thermostat and install and wall mount Nest Thermostat E. Current boiler is a Vaillant ecoTEC pro 28 H combi HEP.

Moved into a property , The nest Thermo 3rd generation attached to a stand not wall is here plus Heat link attached to Vaillant boiler. I can’t connect it to my Wi-Fi or heatlink- tried setting it up, doing my head in. I just want it set to manual nothing technical. The Wi-Fi on nest says a different one but can’t find out how to change it- have tried using YouTube … but technology not my thing

I need to upgrade my current smoke alarm system to the HUSH-ACTIV BS 5839-6 Grade C Stand-Alone Domestic Fire Alarm Kit. I would need about 7 detectors 3 sounders and one control panel. There is already the necessary power supply in all the areas we would need to install the new alarms. This system doesn't need the red fire resistant cable. We currently have wired smoke detectors in each bedroom, landing, kitchen and living room. A BS 5839-6 installation certificate will be needed to be completed by the electrician
