There’s more to lawn fertilisation than meets the eye. Fertilizing your lawn strengthens its root structure, keeping it durable and retaining more water. Lawn assessment

At the beginning of the job, your Tasker will need to inspect and familiarize themselves with your lawn. During inspection and assessment, your technician will be able to check if you have any natural threats to your property, such as pests and lawn disease. This helps them determine your lawn needs and map out a treatment plan.

Creating a lawn treatment plan

Once your Tasker is done with their assessment, they’ll make a customized treatment plan for your lawn. This is because not all properties are the same, and there isn’t a one-size-fits-all lawn care fertiliser service out there. Lawn fertilisation treatments are a long-term commitment, and your Taskers would know the best way of fertilizing your lawn and how often it needs treatment. 

Healthy lawns usually require around five to six lawn fertilisers and weed control applications in a year. Your Tasker will also use a wide range of fertilisers such as quick-release, slow-release, granular, liquid, or organic fertilisers. Now this will depend on what treatment your lawn needs. During the planning, your lawn and garden may also need extra work such as leveling the ground will soil or adding sand to a garden fixture. You can have soil and sand delivered to ensure your Tasker has all the materials they need to complete the job.

Watering your lawn

If your grass is a bit too tall, your Tasker may mow your lawn to ensure enough water reaches the soil. Your Tasker will then begin by watering your lawn. This helps prepare the soil to receive lawn fertiliser. A wet or moist lawn will absorb fertiliser easier. 

Applying the fertiliser

Once the soil is ready, your Taskers will choose the appropriate fertiliser and corresponding fertiliser spreader and start feeding your lawn. They will begin at the perimeter and work their way inwards. This is done so that your Tasker won’t miss out on any edges. Similar to a mowing pattern, your Tasker will feed your lawn by walking back and forth in a straight line and slightly overlap on every pass. 

Don’t forget to collect any green waste once the job’s done. Now you’re all set, and your lawn should be looking healthy and lush in no time. Your Tasker will return on the next fertilisation schedule, or you can just book them again in a few weeks.
