Cleaning/change of filter and inner lining of pool/regular maintenance of pool

I have an Oase Biotech 30 pump/pond filter. Inside are some sponges and wire filters that need to be taken out and cleaned and any muck at the bottom cleaned out.

The motor that rotates the brush seems to have stopped working, smells like burt plastic.

Dirty above ground pool needs emptying and cleaning. The pool is less than half full and will need to be drained. I don’t have the equipment to drain it.

Estimated 7000L pond is losing water over several hours. The section highlighted with red is elevated and was under water (approx 8pm the day before). On the following morning (approx 8am), the water level dropped to where it is in the picture. I'm currently troubleshooting where the loss might be coming from. I've tried: - Test 1) [Everything running]: Refilling it slightly (water level above a normally-underwater-brick on the left), leaving everything running, check a few hours later. Brick was exposed to air again - leak happening. - Test 2) [Everything off]: Turning everything off (air, pump to filter + waterfall), checked a few hours later. I _think_ it stopped dropping but not sure it had enough time. More testing needed, maybe not enough time. Didn't leave this test long because aeration was off with pump. - Test 3) [Pump/filter on, waterfall bypassed]: Refilled a decent amount. Wedged a drain pipe into the exit from the filter directly into the water level, to bypass the waterfall completely (incase it's the splash and/or surrounding rocks of the waterfall). Left it overnight - it dropped back to the level shown in the picture - leak happening. - Test 4) [Pump/filter off]: Refilled above brick level (same as test 1), turned off pump + water fall. Aeration is running now, so will leave for a few hours (refilled this morning). - Test 5) if leak continues, how far does it drop...tbc... The hope is that if test 4 does NOT have a leak, it's the circuit from the pump to the filter (which will be a pain to replace but less painful than liner). If test 4 does still have a leak...I'm really worried how to solve it. There's 5 large koi in the pond and I don't have anywhere to store them. I also worry about the cost of draining/repairing/etc the liner/pond, including the work to remove the bricks that seem to be holding the liner in place... not sure what kind of cost to expect here. Definitely need to fix the problem and definitely want to keep the fish.
