What do roof repairers do?
Before agreeing to hire anyone to repair your roof, you should make sure they have a look at your property. Otherwise, it’s incredibly difficult to gauge how much work needs to be done.
Once they have sized up the job, they will get to work on the repairs. Depending on the cause of the damage, this may require them to work on sealing up the inside of your roof or they may need to get on top to work with the tiles, shingle or sheeting that you have on top of your house.
As well as focussing on your roof, there are other tasks that go hand-in-hand with roof repair that you may need to consider.
Roof tile repair
While roof repair is a nice catch-all, there are times when you need a specialist for your job. If you’ve got problems with your tiles, you can hire a roof tile repair expert to take care of things for you. They’ll assess the damage, clean off any dirt or mould and replace broken tiles so that your home looks nicer and reduce the chance of leaks.
Gutter installation
Sometimes people mistake roof issues for gutter issues because without adequate drainage your property can become damaged. Hiring someone to replace or install gutters is a simple and inexpensive way to fix this problem.
Gutter cleaning
Gutter problems don’t always mean you need to replace them. Sometimes a gutter cleaning services may be all you need. In cases like this, someone will come to your property and remove any leaves, sticks or other debris that’s clogging up your gutters to improve your drainage.
Property maintenance
Sometimes the fact that a property has roof damage is a sign that there could be other maintenance issues as well. If you’re not the DIY type, or you’re an investor with a property you can’t get to very often, hiring property maintenance services can help you. This way you can get small tasks like lawn mowing looked after and any essential repairs will be done before they get to worrying states.

I have two leaks. One serious, with water dripping through a light socket, and the other forming a patch and crack in the plasterboard ceiling. Both of the leaking spots are under flat roofs. Videos here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/CNHyE68mtmxcZehf6 (Ignore the green plastic sheet. I tried to construct a temporary cover for the affected area. Abandoned it halfway) Both flat roofs installed when the house was built in 2007. They both regularly have pooled water sitting on them. No scaffolding required - both flat roofs are accessible from windows within the property, as they are terraces/balconies. - Due date: Flexible
