What does a soil removal service include?
Looking for soil removalists near you is easy when you do it via Airtasker. We’ll connect you with a nearby soil removal service that can handle your task quickly and conveniently. That means you’ll have more time to focus on the other things on your to-do list, especially if this task is part of a gardening or construction project.
If you’re handling excess soil for the first time, here’s what you can expect from your removalist:
Soil pick-up
When you book a Tasker to do soil removal, they’ll come to your location with the necessary equipment. Tools can include bags, shovels, a truck, etc. Just point to the pile of soil or the area, and the removalist will do the rest. If it’s a rather large area, there may be more than one Tasker who will handle the job.
Whether it’s garden soil for a landscaping project or topsoil removal for a construction site, Airtasker can help you find a removalist who can take care of it. Here’s a tip: make your task post as specific as possible so that prospective Taskers can give you a more accurate quote. This also helps them prepare in terms of equipment and human resources.
Soil removal
Once the soil has been cleared and loaded into the truck/vehicle, the removalist brings it to your chosen removal site. This can be a landfill, recycling facility, or a construction company. If you decided to give your excess soil to a friend who needs it for gardening, they could bring it there, too. Just mention this location in your task post.
If you still haven’t chosen a “recipient” for your soil, the Tasker may be able to give you options. Since they handle other soil removal tasks in your town, they are most likely familiar with the places that could make use of your soil. Though this may vary from Tasker to Tasker, some may even know the local protocols for dumping dirt with rocks or handling soil that may be contaminated.
Soil removal isn’t the only thing you can ask a Tasker to do. Airtasker can also connect you with people who can help you get rid of other rubbish, such as scrap metal or rubble. We also have removalists for other items like appliances. Taskers can help make your next cleaning or renovating project a bit more convenient.

I’m producing a film on Monday 11th of November where we are using topsoil as part of our set decoration. The Wickes Multi-Purpose Topsoil - 25L (28 bags of 18.85kg). We’re shooting from 7am – 8pm. After the shoot we are disposing of a lot of our set to a nearby rubbish tip but wanted to offer the soil for free to collect to a nearby garden centre, community garden, or landscaper. The soil will simply just be repacked into the open bags they came in. We’re shooting at Candid Arts Trust, 3 Torrens St, London EC1V 1NQ. We’re wrapping at 8pm and wondered if anyone from your team would be interested and available to collect it?

Need these bags carried through the house and taken away. They're about 20kg each and probably about 40-50 of them. I'm in during the day so can be flexible with timings, and the earlier the better. This is part of getting the level down in my back garden so there will be future jobs as well to remove the rest.
Jack did a great job of removing the bagged soil as wanted though better communication and punctuality would have been preferred.
Removal of bagged soil - approx 105 rubble bags full
£350
South Lambeth, Greater London, SW8
2nd Apr 2024
**Sorry to anyone who already replied on my prior post - I was unable to edit it after adjusting the number of bags, so have had to repost it. This is the correct/updated post for this job. I have a large quantity of bagged soil for removal - approx 105 fully packed builders rubble bags. This is from a residential street with ability to park, pull up and load, but unfortunately no ability to put a permanent skip into place. I'm looking for help to both load and remove all of the bags - either on Tuesday or Wednesday would be ideal. They're all located really close to the road already, so although they are heavy there's not far to actually have to transport between current location and the road - you can see the gate to road in the second picture. Many thanks, Jacki

We need approx. 4-5 meters cubes of soil removed from our front yard (4 or 5 of the bag shown in the picture). Happy to dig it up ourselves but we’re looking for a pickup solution that doesn’t involve a traditional skip, as the pick up spot is parallel to the road (there is no driveway or car park). So far we’ve been using Hippo bags but hoping for a more cost effective solution.
