The lamp is from Loaf and is the Dining Table bought in 2017. There seems to be a fault at the base where there is the connexion between the electrical cables and the lamp bulb.

lamp flitters, replaced the bulb, no difference. About a foot down there is a sealed connector, if you wriggle that, it flitters more.

Standard lamp bulb socket has crumbled and needs replacing. The socket was originally through the wooden stem of the lamp and so is very small. Either we need to source a small fitting bulb socket or fashion a way to use with a larger socket. Table lamp switch has ceased up. A decorative ornament that was stuck to the base has become separated, but I can have a go a sticking that back myself if it is not something an electrician would do.
