Was stripping the paint from original wooden frame from bathroom window Window now won’t close the wood is not stable

The door jamb on the hinge side of our front door needs to be removed and replaced. The small window beside also needs to be removed and a new frame built for it.

Shutters are wooden and white see photos

Window lock won’t close and some of the frame has rotted

My window handle fallen off as flimsy but most importantly the window does not close because wood frame does not aline

I have bought 2 bronze barrel-style window stops to replace old ones, which now need screwing into a sash window frame. It should be straightforward. You can see from the photos we had to remove old ones because we lost the key so the new holes will go under the circles you see in the photos. It should involve drilling 2 holes and screwing the barrels into the frame so that the stopper can prevent the window from opening past a certain point.
