I'm looking for someone to re-size a reclaimed glazed door and hang it in an existing frame. The door is 3cm too wide and also 5cm too short for the current frame. We are not actually going to use it as a door but as an internal window to let light into the hall. It doesn't need to open but hanging on hinges is probably the easiest way to install it. There is a hole at the top wall in my wardrobe in the flat that I’m staying in that needs to be sealed with cement or something that can not be chewed through. My flat we have a newly discovered mouse problem and while we contacted pest control to handle it they did not deem the whole in my room necessary to put poison (even though the inside the beam is where they were making its way up and down). Well, now the rodent has found a new entry! My wardrobe door has a sort of roller close but they did not cut an adequate whole on the wall so the door never stays closed. To be very transparent I had the very upsetting experience in the early hours of the morning where I saw a mouse scurry from under my bed to inside my wardrobe and now I feel as though enough is enough. I have contacted our agent for 3 months on this matter and he said they would do it but I have not bern enthusiastic to this. For instance when we moved in there was a very obvious gas leak but he chose not to fix or mention it until we ourselves called emergency gas engineer who wrote a gas safety warning notice. There was also no carbon monoxide alarms! Which he failed to check until we once again brought to his attention. This experience has just made me very unsettled. As a student I want to be at least somewhat comfortable in the space that I am paying to live in. Apologies for the very long rant but as you can presume by the time I am sending this, I would really like to see if I can sort this on my own.
