Okay so the bolt: We tried to take the previous toilet seat off to replace it, however the bolts were so old and rusted that they were stuck. We had an Airtasker come out previously who was able to remove the bolt on the right hand side and the seat, but couldn't get the left bolt to budge. It's further complicated by the fact that the toilet is in a washroom under the stairs and the space is very tight, so you can't get at it with bolt cutters. He told us that we'd need someone with an electric saw to get it off. So please only reply if you have one as he tried for 45 mins before giving up! The door: this is the same room - the strike is loose and it's causing the latch to get caught and sometimes lock people in there. I think it will be a case of re-drilling the screws to get it to stay put. - Due date: Flexible
