Job Scope: What it is: 3 full days (8-10 hours) of shooting action photography ringside of a dog sport called Barn Hunt. This is a dog sport where a dog and their handler enter a ring that is full of bales of hay. There are tubes hidden in the bales of hay that contain rats (the rats are always safe and completely contained at all times during this sport). Location and quantity of tubes with rats is unknown to the dog and handler. The game is that the dog must correctly locate and indicate to the handler where the tubes are in the hay in a specified amount of time. Where is it: Fairgrounds in Springfield, MO When is it: Friday October 25th - Sunday October 27th What I'm looking for: An action photographer to shoot ringside action shots of every dog running their courses. Ideally we like to have approx. 10-15 shots of good quality to offer each team from their run. The runs last 2-3 minutes. It's very fast paced and you have to strategically position yourself to get the shots people want to buy. Between dogs you will be expected to go through your shots and delete the unusable shots. At the end of the day I will download all images you shot that day, and they will become property of Play Paws Record. Play Paws Record will then have the exclusive rights to edit, sell, and otherwise distribute the images as we see fit. What equipment you'll need to provide: You will be expected to shoot on a DSLR or mirrorless camera (typically one that you can set to shutter priority mode) in RAW. A zoom lens of approximately 70-200mm in range is needed for this event.
