My 2016 KTM RC 390 wont turn over for more than a few seconds at a time. It has a full charge, a full tank of gas, and the spark plug is working. I need someone to get it running again. A service technician stated that the bike is in good working condition (just was unused for the past couple of months due to rain) and he thinks the carburetor might need to be rebuilt/cleaned and/or the throttle body may need to be cleaned. It’s possible that it’s a simple fuel line/fuel bowl that’s clogged, but someone would need to open it up to be certain. There is some rust damage but other than that there don’t appear to be any real problems with the bike. Most of the fairings are off the bike so it should be relatively easy for someone with the skills/tools to repair. Also, I have a brand new OEM oil change kit that I would like to use, which should be extremely quick and easy to do since the carburetor will already be moved. And if it’s convenient, the foot-brake is not applying pressure to the brake pads so if that could be fixed as well I’d be grateful, but that’s not a must-have. Anyone who knows how to service motorcycles should have a very easy time fixing this minor problem. No parts need to be replaced, it’s only labor. I just don’t have the funds to take it into the dealership.
