Around 4 months ago, after sitting for months and lots of rain, my 2007 Honda Element EX AWD made a pulsing scraping noise when I applied the brakes. I thought it was just rusty rotors since the brake wear indicators never made a sound before. Drove to Las Vegas and back with no issues and sound was gone briefly. Been driving intermittently since and the sound has gotten worse - I hear muted metal scraping sounds without brakes applied now & the sound gets louder when I apply my brakes. No pulsing of brake pedal though. Some pads are noticeably worn down. Had brake system flushed a couple years ago cuz I hade water contamination of brake fluid. Was thinking a rusty caliper perhaps? 170k miles on odo. May have you look into a P2422 DTC also (EVAP system vent valve stuck closed). Could just be mud or a spider egg sac plugging the EVAP canister vent. (Might do this myself if my leg is better)

I just purchased a hybrid bike from Dicks sporting goods, picked it up at the store assembled & asked them to help me with selecting & installing a rack for my car. They were unable to help with installations and instead insisted on teaching me to take off & put on the front wheel to load it in the backseat of my car. When I got home and attempted to put the front wheel back on, the wire for the brake appeared frayed and I was unable to figure out where/how it threads through.
