Top HVAC Inspection related questions

It’s always good to know the signs when your HVAC system is broken. Notice if your system starts blowing hot air and pay attention to moisture developing near any system. Unusual sounds and smells are also never a good sign.

Not really. Taskers typically arrive at your door equipped with all the things they need to conduct an inspection, including wrenches, drills, vacuum pumps, and leak detectors. If your HVAC system needs repair, your technician will first diagnose the problem and discuss with you what needs to be done.

Licenses for HVAC technicians vary per state. Many states like California, Arizona, and Connecticut require technicians to have one. They may also need to be certified. Make sure to read and check the laws and regulations of your local jurisdiction before hiring a technician to inspect your HVAC system.

Yes, this is very important! If your furnace is not cleaned regularly, it may help spread harmful dust and debris throughout your home. You may experience colds, allergies, viruses, and a host of other health problems. A yearly cleanup will remove dirt and debris that has built up over the year.

What do HVAC inspection services include?

The heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) in your home provide you comfort all year round. During the summer, you rely on air conditioning and ventilation to keep you cool. On the other hand, your heating system is your best friend during cold winter days. That’s why it’s essential to schedule routine HVAC inspections to make sure the system is problem-free. These inspections are designed to boost your home’s HVAC systems by identifying potential issues to resolve them quickly. Here’s what you can expect from HVAC inspections near you:

HVAC tune-ups during summer and fall

Every homeowner should have their HVAC installation inspection twice a year as the seasons change. In every tune-up, a technician performs a variety of checks and calibrations. You can expect your condensers and evaporator coils to be inspected and cleaned, while refrigerant lines and levels are checked during the summer. On the other hand, during fall and winter, your burners are cleaned, carbon monoxide levels checked, and the heat exchanger and chamber examined. If you’re also thinking of having a Nest thermostat installed, call in someone who can also inspect your HVAC system alongside a tune-up.

Diagnosing and repairing your HVAC system

It’s undoubtedly frustrating when your HVAC suddenly stops working during blazing hot summer days or in the dead of winter. If your HVAC system suddenly stops working, you should immediately book an HVAC inspection near you to diagnose the problem. Technicians can inspect your system immediately and perform the necessary HVAC repairs to fix the problems in your system. While you’re at it, consider having a gas fitter inspect your gas pipes and appliances if you notice any problems.

Conducting a comprehensive inspection

During an HVAC installation inspection, you can expect your Tasker to give a detailed report on the age of the system, how it was installed, how it is currently performing, and recommendations they may have for both repairs and improvements. A comprehensive inspection is usually done when you purchase or sell your house. You can also ask them to inspect and test the electrical wires alongside the HVAC system. It’s always good to know the status of a house before finalizing a purchase.
