Hi there! I’m transforming my small rental backyard courtyard into a relaxing, cat-safe garden sanctuary and need help building a custom pergola. I’m trying to create a dreamy, functional outdoor space where I can unwind, grow my own food, and spend time with my cats but this is one part I can’t do on my own. I’m looking for someone to help design and build a simple, sturdy white wooden pergola that can cover about half the garden space (approx. 2.1–2.7m out from the wall across the full 4.45m open width). The purpose is to create partial weather protection while still allowing light in, so I’d like to include clear polycarbonate roofing or a similar rain-resistant option that won’t block sunlight. The rest of the space will have garden beds and groundcovers, so it’s important the pergola is weatherproof, well-anchored, and not overly bulky. I’m working with a modest budget, but I’ve made this garden a priority and will be doing most of the landscaping myself. Just need someone skilled for this part!
