What does a car service include?
As a general rule, your car will likely need to be serviced every 6-12 months, depending on the manufacturer’s recommendations. The exact inclusions of your car service and mobile car service will vary depending on how much work is needed on your car. Some of the popular car services you can book on Airtasker include:
Oil and oil filter change
An oil and oil filter change will help your car run smoothly and increase fuel efficiency. It’s one of the most important parts of a service and should be included in both minor and major services. Your mechanic will find the oil drain plug, loosen and unscrew it, and carefully allow the old oil to drain into a pan. Then they’ll replace and tighten the plug before removing and replacing the filter. Finally, they’ll fill up with fresh oil up to the “full” mark on the dipstick.
Car minor service
A minor service is also known as an interim or basic service. It focuses on changing and topping up fluids and inspecting a number of components for wear and tear. A minor service includes an oil and filter change; an under-body and under-bonnet inspection; a top-up of all key fluids in the engine, including washer fluid, brake fluid, antifreeze, and steering fluid; and a check of up to 35 key components, such as lights, tyres, and brakes. Most mechanics will also check the manufacturer guidelines and recommend any additional work your car may need.
Car major service
A major service includes all the basic services described above, but will also include an inspection of an additional 15-30 car components to ensure that your vehicle is in the best condition possible. Any parts that need extra work or replacement, such as car batteries or windscreens, will be billed as extra.

From Iast year around October I already replaced the solenoid and gasket cover something which all of the part list still with me you can see for reference if needed, but now the oil leaks is back and Im really scared because I use the car as my home. My 2009 Suzuki GS500 will not start. I went away for a month and we had a lot of rain and when I came back the back wont start. I have had it started sometimes and will tick over but then when revving it dies down and then out. It tiks over ok (ish) on choke. Battery has been charged and new plugs installed to check it wasnt them - the fuel lines are delivering fuel so i think it might be something either electrical or carb related. I have owned the bike 6 years and this is the first time its ever not started Located in Coogee - im flexible on time. Would love to have it up and running again.
