Note that waste collection specialists may not accept bins that are overweight or have not been appropriately segregated. Some specialists may offer to work on unsegregated waste and re-distribute the waste of overweight bins to more bins, but this extra step might mean an additional cost. 

Checking and collecting segregated waste

Your hired specialists then check that the waste in your disposal contract is not mixed with any other type of waste and the bins contain the exact kind of waste as agreed. Some specialists may refuse to handle waste that is not pre-segregated, so be sure that your trash is collected in the proper bins beforehand. 

If your commercial food waste collection, commercial garden waste disposal or other types of waste is mixed, some specialists may offer to do the segregation, but this will cost extra. Specialists transfer the waste contents of your bins into their containers, which are then covered, locked and secured to prevent spillage or water getting onto the waste while in transit.

Transporting the waste

After the waste is transferred from your bins into containers, these are covered, locked, secured and loaded onto the appropriate delivery vehicles. Once secured, specialists drive them to the proper recycling facility or landfill.

Specialists take care to drive within the prescribed speed limits, use only designated routes and ensure the delivery process is in compliance with your state’s road regulations and rules on waste collection and disposals. 

Cleaning your bins

For your added convenience, some specialists may include this as part of your service. After all the waste has been collected and transferred into sealed and secured containers, they may use high-pressure washers to clean out your bins of stubborn waste and debris.
