The Wifi router is connected to the NBN - the NBN shows that there is internet but the wifi router doesn't show internet so the cable isn't transmitting. I have an old computer that houses some critical programs and files on Windows 8 OS that I use regularly for work. I don't want to upgrade (also I can't upgrade specific obsolete programs either that aren't compatible with latest OS). As I see it, I need that OS/system exactly as it is. This is perfectly fine for when I am at home, but I am planning on an overseas trip when I need to work from time to time. I need an IT expert to help decide on the best course of action for this hard drive, and then action it. I have no idea what the best answer might be: * Accurately clone the hard drive and migrate to a new machine? * Take out the old drive and stick it inside a new machine? * Another way? Quote for your time, any hardware I will purchase on your recommendation.
