She’d recently removed exposing electrical wiring. Electrician required to install a short post and a weatherproof plug point to this electrical point for outdoor use. Refer pic.

The brand seems to be "AST" however l'm unsure if this is exactly correct. The battery is also flat (dead), and may need a new battery.

Hi Taskers, I'm getting an exhaust hood installed at my Cafe this Friday. The hood has a single fan motor that needs to be hard wired to our new switch board. It's about 5 meters away. Single story. URGENT: The thin white fibre optic NBN wire coming out of my wall, that plugs into my NBN box via the green connector/plug, has fallen out of the green connector plug. I need someone that has the tool to pop open the green plug/connector and re-insert the fibre optic wire that is coming out of the wall. I tried just pushing it back in, but I don't think its in properly - Optical light still red.

One of our downlights is glitching. It needs to be repaired

We have a two storey house (built new in 2001) with 6 existing smoke alarms, all in the right spots still (all 240 volt hard wired, 9 volt battery backups, Clipsal 755 models). We are now upgrading to 6 new ones already purchased (6 Emerald Smoke Alarms, model EP-HYB-24-10, each of which are 240 volt, with 10 year backup lithium batteries and RF wireless interconnected in-built). Very straight forward final piece of the job is required but it must be done by a licensed electrician who can provide a certificate of compliance as part of the job - cannot be a handyman. I will pre-remove on the day of the job all the existing old smoke alarms and mounting plates, leaving just the existing power cords and old female clipsal plugs handing out of the ceiling (see photo), and the existing plaster plugs and screws which can be reused. I have already checked and the new units can be re-screwed into the ceiling using the same plaster screws and plugs as the current smoke alarms are using and cover perfectly the existing paint template of the current smoke alarms (see photo) - so there should be no need to drill into any of the plaster to affix the new smoke alarms, just use the existing plugs and screws, so hopefully a very simple job. So in summary, the job is to: 1) disconnect 6 female old clipsal plugs from their respective power lines (see photo); 2) test those power lines to ensure all still are in good order; 3) strip the active, earth and neutral lines on those power lines back to standard strip length and affix directly in to the back of the new smoke alarms in their allocated ports (A, E and N) (see picture); 4) screw the two existing screws into the open base plate of the new smoke alarm, close and test; 5) Issue a certificate of compliance. No need to interconnect the units via wire - they all have inbuilt RF transmitters which should link wirelessly. I shall pre-set this up using the inbuilt lithium batteries the day before install (master and slaves).
