I am living in an apartment and am requesting a quote for NBN (HFC) home network troubleshooting. Background: My apartment with 2 levels currently has an NBN HFC wall outlet (with nbn connection box connected) on Level 2 with Optus as our network provider. As the connection box/router is on Level 2, Level 1 is currently a blackspot for internet connection with no wifi/ wired connection (I have tried a powerline connection previously that yielded poor internet speeds) There is an existing coaxial wall port on Level 1 (I assume with existing wiring between level 1 and level 2) and I have been trying to use a MoCA (coax to ethernet) Adapter to create a wired connection to the NBN from Level 1. However the coax wiring between the 2 levels of my apartment may to be faulty as the MoCA adaptor cannot detect a signal through the coax. Quick job for an electrician to replace one power point. It has 2 x plugs and 2 x USBs, and only one of the plugs is currently working. Pic attached.
