Recommend and install floor

Come and assess our home and recommend type of flooring to go over existing pine floor and the best method of installation. We are levelling two sections of floor which are 30mm different. Do the installation after.

We have existing cork flooring in our basement/laundry - we are looking to get this removed and have it resurfaced. Ideally we would like to pollish the underlying surface, however we're not sure if we have concrete with aggregate underneath, or if it's just something like Ardex and what the options would be on this case (photos provided). If we can't just grind/polish/waterproof what's currently there, we're guessing it would need some sort of epoxy type surfacing or ceramic tiles. Looking for quotes to remove the cork and prepare/ add the new surface. Total floor area is 15 m squared and as you can see in the photos that's divided between the two adjacent spaces, the smaller with the laundry in it. Needs to be waterproof . We are having a new carpet laid today (Monday 18th) we have been told that the carpet will be to thick for the door and we need to have the bottom of the door shaved (cut down) and put back.
