As these windows are on the second floor, the job will require someone physically capable of using a ladder to access the exterior of the windows. Additionally, I need two small flyscreens installed on each of the sash windows for when they are open. Please note: One of the sash windows does not stay open on its own. If left unsupported, it slams shut, which could potentially shatter the glass. This task therefore requires extreme caution. While I plan to eventually hire a specialist or window carpenter to repair the window mechanism, that will be a separate job. Many of the specialists I’ve spoken to don’t handle stripping and painting, so I’d like to address this aspect first. Finally, I will need to notify and seek approval from the strata committee before any work begins.
