Handyman Good at Finishing Work

$45

Westbourne Park SA, Australia

25th Jan 2025

HANDYMAN NEEDED I am currently renovating a 2-bedroom villa in Westbourne Park. I need an experienced handyman to help me do the finishing work after the electricians, plumbers and other trades have left some parts of the renovation incomplete. Tasks I need help with include: • Using Mortar to patch wiring and other channels/indents that have been cut into the brick internal walls. • Plastering over the mortar to get a smooth paintable finish. • Repairing minor damage to Gyprock ceilings where new downlights have been installed and the old lights removed. • Sand and paint the stained timber skirting board along with a stained timber pare of sliding doors and their pelmet. • Possibly other finishing/installation work such as more extensive painting and helping to install a kitchen and other built ins etc. You will need good finishing skills particularly with repairing damaged surfaces to a paint-quality finish. You will need your own tools, paint equipment etc. I will supply all consumables. This task is available for an immediate start.

Fixing a leaking skirting board

$200

Westbourne Park SA, Australia

30th May 2022

In the recent rain, a corner of one room in our house has started to become wet/develop a small puddle. It has only happened twice (not all the time.) It looks like the water is seeping in under the skirting board or through a tiny gap in the grout/caulking. The room is tiled and has a plastered brick wall with a timber skirting board. I have a feeling that the problem requires some patching with grout or caulking but I’m not certain. It is behind a gas heater, which makes access a bit tricky but not impossible. We would be so grateful if someone could identify and fix the problem!
