ST1100 has sat too long. Fuel went off. Oil and fuel has been drained and replaced with fresh. Bike starts and idles, but only with choke. Bike is a V4 with a carb for each cylinder. General consensus is that the carb jets must be blocked. I have removed all the fairings, air filter etc. Next step is to remove the carbs assembly... (I have an air compressor)
