Ceiling height is 2650. Most of ceiling has 2 coats of paint with some recent renovations meaning plaster patchwork was required on ceiling. Same with cornice. Most cornice 55mm, some 90mm in cove style.

I currently own a 1960’s house and in the kitchen/dining area is a “popcorn/textured ceiling”. I want the ceiling to be smooth so it doesn’t look dated before I install a new kitchen. I’m happy to screw sheets over the top of the original ceiling, even if it means loosing the 10-15mm of height or open to best suggestions or methods to achieve the result.
