We have a leak coming through ceiling adjacent to a skylight that has started in the recent rain last 2 days. The roof was recently been checked for incoming leaks as part of a larger insurance claim, and a roofer came to rectify as it was deemed as arising from a maintenance issue not a storm event. As far as we are concerned it was fixed. The new roof leak however is a new one coming through a slightly different area to previous. With the rain forecast into next week, we need an urgent roofer and/or waterproofer to try to source the leak and seal with flashing, before we can remedy the damaged ceiling. Our previous roofer is not able to return to site until end of Jan and we are seeking better workmanship. Price suggested is a guide for now, hard to know the extent of the problem as of yet. Metal roof leaking, single storey old house I have ladder can setup on the ground easy to access. The metal roof doesn't look like have hole or crack, so maybe around the edges is where rain water goes in to the gyprock ceiling.
