Installed fibre optic about 2-3 months ago, but modem is limited to downstairs because of length of wires. Connection to upstairs is poor, even with wireless extender. Have router but is required to be wired to the modem and would like to not spend more on routers/ extenders.

Set up DD-WRT so it connects to the internet via Ethernet and so 2.4G and 5G wifi can be shared with others. Firmware has been installed on router but now internet is not working. Network adapter trouble shooter says Ethernet doesn’t have a valid IP configuration. If possible also set up a bridge connection.
Vitri’s partner Leo did an excellent job at trouble shooting my router configuration that was using DD-WRT, and now I’m connected to the internet again. I’m very happy with the results. I highly recommend using his service for IT troubleshooting.

Purchased new router which cannot connect to internet (NBN). Previous router has internet connection, but no wifi signal so replaced it with new. Should be simple fix to look into router diagnostics but a step too far for my computer brain.

I changed the ISP at home from Superloop to iiNet. I have a nearly new ZTE H1600 modem that came from Superloop. I want to reconfigure it for iiNet (FTTB). However, whilst I can login to the modem as an admin, I do not know how to reconfigure the settings to switch it to iiNet.
