Help. I assumed this would be easy, but I've been unable to get these door handles to sit securely. Hoping someone with more carpentry/door installation experience can help me out. Old door handles have been removed - I just need a hand with the installation of the new ones. Some doors may need new holes cut, filled in. Door frames are metal, so door handles cannot be moved much as latch cannot be moved. Need advice as to whether some of these doors need to be replaced, or whether handles can be installed in the condition they're in.

Kitchen- remove rotten upper sash. Supply and install custom replica hardwood sash (primed), re-rope, re-weight upper and lower sashes, reset margins/clearances, caulk beads where required and patch and putty on lower sash, reuse existing hardware. Garage roller door not opening/closing. Same issue with the buttons on the motor and the remote (ie. the remote isn't the issue). There's power to the motor (lights on the panel come on). Door can be manually opened/closed. Initially when I was pressing the open/close buttons on the remote the motor was making a clicking sound but this has now stopped.

One of the 2 deadbolts in my french door is not retracting far enough, so I cannot open the door. The deadbolt is adjustable, with a screw on end, but I can't see how to adjust it when the door is shut. This may require removing the door from its hinges.
