We recently moved in to our new apartment and have noticed a rotting/mildew smell in our spare bedroom, which shares a wall with our bathroom. We pulled back carpet in the corner and it appears to be rotting wood underneath. We don’t suspect a water leak from the bathroom as it does not feel wet, but need to rule it out for strata. We heard dripping in the wall during heavy rain and feel like it may potentially be an external/strata issue.
