The left and right hand sides of the front door frame is rotten. It will need cutting out, replaced and made good again. The rot travels roughly 8-12 inches up from the base. The front door sill is also slightly rotten at the edges. This may need replacing entirely. Thanks Luke

We hired someone to build it but need help sorting the electrics which would include the need for the appropriate certificates. We are thinking of one ceiling light and 4-6 plugs depending on cost/advice. The garden office is 3.11m length x 2.29m width x 2.28m height. We have a wall-hung kids bookshelf that was put up a few years ago. Our kids have pulled it off the wall, so needs to be re-hung (most of the screws etc. still there, just one that's come out). We have just put up a new outdoor shed (small; 4x6ft). We have put in some hooks, but looking to put in a few more to hang helmets, etc.. Probably 5-6 hooks in total. Hi. I have several metres of unfinished oak stair nosing and edge profiles which will soon be installed on my stairs/house along with some finished flooring I recently bought. The flooring will be installed from the middle of next week. Since the wood is unfinished, I'd like them to be sanded, stained to a close colour match of the finished floor, then have a final protective lacquer added. It's 24m of stair nosing (9 * 2.7m) in total with approx 9cm on each length that need finishing (the top and front). The sides and underside don't need finishing. So it's ~2.2m2 in area total. This is already on-site. I've added pics showing their shape. There will then be 16m (6 * 2.7m) of unfinished end profiles which need to be finished on top (4cm depth). These have been ordered but haven't arrived yet (expected Tuesday) so the job can either be done all at once next week, or in two parts if you're able to start on the nosing this weekend/early next week. Although the wood is awkwardly long, I've assumed that the staining is easier to do pre-installation, rather than having to stain each step one by one and protect the other floor etc. Happy to be guided on what would make this easier to do logistically. I've chosen a stain colour from Ronseal Xactly that seems to be the closest match. I expect 3 coats should be fine. I haven't chosen a lacquer though. Happy to buy whatever is advised.
