Assemble a 10 x 8 flat pack garden shed

£200

New Addington, Greater London

9th Oct 2022

I have a flat pack 10 x 8 Tiger Heavyweight Workshop with a 10ft Two Tier Staging, window sealing kit and a 5L preserver (to paint it with afterwards). https://www.tigersheds.com/product/tiger-heavyweight-workshop-shed/ Please see the above link to familiarise yourself with the shed before making an offer. I’ve moved the shed into the garden already to make it easier. You will need a ladder for the roof. I already have a concrete base so all I need is for someone to put it up, fit the shelves inside, secure the windows in with the provided window sealing kit, seal around it with sealant and possibly paint it with the provided preserver (although I’m not fussed this part). I only want someone with previous experience and reviews specifically with building sheds AND HAS A DECENT COMPLETION RATE AS IVE JUST HAD TO CANCEL AND REPOST THIS DUE TO A TIME WASTER Thanks - Due date: Flexible but asap

What does a carpenter do?

Whether you’re planning a major renovation on your home, or you simply want to make things look a bit nicer, hiring a carpenter can help you with many different tasks. Carpenters take on a wide range of work, such as fixing areas of houses and building furniture from scratch.

Carpentry work is generally broken down into two types: rough and finish. Rough carpentry refers to work that doesn’t have an intricate look, as it’s covered up – often by bricks, tiles, or plasterwork. Finish carpentry covers the work that will be on display, so needs to have a nicer finish. Furniture, decking, and window frames all fall into this second category.

Decking

Don't know what to do with all that space in your backyard? Hire a carpenter who specialises in building decks. A decking specialist can add an outdoor deck or upgrade an existing one that opens up your outdoor space. This is great if you want to entertain guests or eat outside as a family during the sunny months.

Cabinet making

Cabinetmakers are one example of finish carpentry, because of the high level of detail that goes into their end products. Unlike structural work, it’s important that a cabinet looks nice, so this type of carpenter is a lot more focused on fine details. Cabinetmakers often specialise in other forms of furniture making too.

Refinishing carpentry

While structural carpentry is concerned with jobs on the large end of the scale, trim or refinishing carpentry looks at the small end. A trim carpenter is the way to go if you want someone to fix up your skirting boards, cornicing, or a similar aspect of your home.

Custom made furniture

A house isn’t a home without a few personal touches, and if you’d rather avoid the cookie-cutter Ikea approach to decorating your property, hiring a carpenter to create custom-made furniture can make you stand out. Whether you want chairs, tables, or a shoe rack, there’s someone nearby who can help.

Joinery

Joinery services encompass the craftsmanship of creating and joining wood in workshops, distinct from on-site carpentry. These services range from bespoke projects to crafting timber buildings, emphasizing precision and passion. Joiners play a crucial role in interior woodwork, window and door production, and specialized construction, offering tailored and quality timber solutions.

Garden shed part assembly

£150

New Addington, Greater London

31st Jul 2022

I have part of my garden shed assembled but I need someone else to do the rest as it’s proven to be harden than I thought it would be. It is a Palram - Canopia Yukon 11x9 Apex Dark grey Plastic Shed bought from B&Q however the institutions aren’t very clear (please look at them before submitting an offer - the link is https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1759401/Palram-Yukon-Shed-11x9.html And a YouTube video is https://youtu.be/7j7qnRDxX_k You will need to have your own tools as you are required to make small holes in an iron rod (tungsten carbide drill bits are required or similar alternatives that can drill through metal) The shed will also need to be anchored to the concrete base that’s already been built. The beginning part has been completed and the 4 walls (which may need a little adjustments) are all up already (without the door which needs to be constructed aswell but again all of this is in the manual). LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH EXPERIENCE AND REVIEWS ALREADY OF COMPLETED JOBS - Due date: Needs to be done on Monday, 1 August 2022
