we are installing some floor insulation in our Grade II Listed ground floor flat - believe it is pre 1900s. We lifted carpets and hardboard installed by the previous owners and noticed some newer repairs to the original pine floor boards that haven't weren't a match (neither size nor wood type). We started lifting a few boards but found a lot of rubbish left by previous builders and the joists in rough shape from poor installation. I'm in search for expert opinion before i=I know if I can proceed with installing insulation.
