PLASTERING/DECORATING - Bathroom : Ceiling Repair 1000 x 1000 (Leak Damage) To remove existing section of damaged ceiling (approx 1000 x 1000) and bag up all waste into rubble bags ready to take to waste. Once the old section of ceiling has been removed, check for any hidden damage before proceeding. Sheets of plasterboard (2400 x 1200) will then be cut to fit the shape of the removed section of ceiling and screwed onto the joists. Skim-plaster ceiling in preparation decorating. x2 coats of anti-mould emulsion paint to be applied : white

I had a leak coming from the toilet cistern a few weeks ago. This caused damp to the wall and skirting board behind the toilet in the hallway. Since then I believe that I fixed the leak as no hissing water noise can be heard but the damage on wall and skirting board needs to be fixed. I need some ideas on what can you do to make it look like new for example replacing the skirting board and re-skim plaster and paint over it. Also would be good to check if leak has definitely stopped since you have plumbing experience. See pics of wall and skirting board.

I have three rows of small tiles above my kitchen worktops and cabinets that need removing. The area is not big (probably less than 2 square metres in total). The pictures attached shows the small black tiles that need removing. I would like the walls plastered after the tiles have been removed to create a smooth finish ready to be painted.
