I get the keys to an apartment I bought in approximately 2 weeks time and `i would like to remove the carpet and replace with something that is wood or wood effect. Installation during the second half of November, before I move in. Downstairs of the apartment only: - Living area - 2 x bedrooms - hall - kitchen is currently tiles, I would like this replaced too if it is not too difficult - (not bathroom) Ideally I don't like quad finish, I don't know how easy it is to remove and replace skirting and how much extra that costs. I haven't bought any flooring yet and would be interested in your recommendation, I don't mind if airtasker supplies or if I have to order. I would be open to vinyl, wood, bamboo or similar. Something that looks natural, and has some sound insulation underneath, and is easy to look after and keep clean. This apartment will be my home to live in for probably at least 10 years so I would like the flooring to be reasonable quality. The apartment is 2nd floor, with steps only, the steps are outside. I have a car park, and there will be a short walk from the car park space to the apartment.

I need a carpet layer to pick up carpet from Swan Street Sales in Richmond and then bring it back to my office in Fitzroy North, remove the current carpet, and lay the new carpet.
