Instal the glass screen on the bath tub so we can remove the shower screen. I have a U strip to attach to the wall.

Electric outdoor blind has stopped working. The remote control and other electric blinds and the power point are all working so it is assumed that the motor has died and needs replacing. It is the left hand side narrow blind in the photo below. It is 90cm wide and 190cm long. We have 5 blinds in total which work off the one Becker Centronic remote with 5 channels i.e. 1 channel per blind so we want the blind to continue to work on its channel on the existing remote. The blind is on the second floor of a 2 storey home so you would need to bring a long ladder.

I've just moved into a new apartment and need to have the old original front door re-aligned (standard old Fitzroy wooden door) as it has moved over time. I also need the locks changed and the fly screen door lock needs some TLC as well. Price negotiable depending on experience and knowledge.

I need a handyman to do a few small jobs in a home we recently moved into. Looking for somebody who is a jack of all trades who can a lot of future work also. Ideally somebody close to Fitzroy North. The current jobs are: 1. Install a rail in a wardrobe. I have purchased a 19mm rail with fittings to screw it in place at each end - three screws on each side. Note that the rail will need to be cut to size (Hollow aluminum). 2. There is a small fan in the laundry which doesn't appear to work. Have a look at what could be wrong with it and fix or remove so I can purchase a replacement. 3. There is an interior door that doesn't latch (No locking mechanism). It is about 2-3 mm short. Fix it so the door latches again. 4. There are three downlights in the bathroom. Remove one so I can identify the globe type and I will purchase new ones which are softer. I will install the new globes myself or create a new job for this work. You will need to bring all of the required tools for the work, however, I do have a ladder you can use. Easy free parking outside of house.

A guest has tried to use the blinds on the skylight and has pulled on side off. The screw now slips straight out of the hole so will need to be redone. Would also like the opposite side checked to make sure it sturdy as there has been some paint fall from that side since the incident. You will need a ladder to reach the affected area.

Hi! My blind chain broke, and I believe it needs a new mechanism. It’s stuck in the down position, which isn’t ideal on these besutiful days. The handyman my real estate agent usually sends (who said it needed new mechanism as he had fixed the chain and then it broke) is away until the end of April and frankly it’s depressing and I just want to have it done. Thank you, I hope someone can help me!

I have some vintage wall paper that I would like hung on 2-3 small walls as a feature. The wallpaper is vinyl and the pattern is large diagonal stripes.

My glass sliding exterior door has stopped being able to lock, I believe because the house has shifted. I need it to be lockable and close able again.

Hello. We have a security trestle gate at a shop in Fitzroy north that is getting more and more difficult to open. After some one who is experienced at servicing them to quote for any repairs if it’s worth repairing.

Our shower rail has just broken and needs to be replaced. The distance between the wall fixing points is 650mm. We are after the cheapest rail replacement as it’s only temp. Thanks!

Using battens (partly prepared) and have rest of wood to cut, glue mirrors to the wall. They are frameless 30kg each. 1.8 by 1.2m. You need to be confident you know how to do this and do it yourself or with someone else. The wall is painted plaster and back of mirrors have backing cover and that's all. I need about 1 hour's worth of your time to hang some pictures in my house. I have both rendered brick walls and also plaster walls. The items are not at all heavy.
