I have just had a small damage done to the drywall due to wind slamming door in to door stopper which went through the drywall. The hole is around 6-7 cm above the skirting. Since the door stopper needs to go on the dry wall and not on skirting, I would like to have a piece of wooden slat put behind the dry wall where the damage is to prevent happening it again in future.
