I have a small section of wall that makes annoying ticking/clicking noises that o think is due to thermal expansion (happens around the same time every day in the evening) if I push the studs I can recreate the noise so I'm thinking of removing the plasterboard adding some additional noggins and then I will replace the plasterboard myself.
