Rollers can wear down with time and lower the bottom of the door, causing the door to rub against the track. Most sliding doors have an adjusting screw located at the bottom of the door ends that raises and lowers the roller. Roller replacement
If the roller on the sliding door is damaged beyond repair, the handyman may decide the best remedy is to replace it entirely. The stiles of the moving panel are first unscrewed and removed to detach the door. One handyman will lift the door so that the other handyman can slide the bottom rail over. Door replacement
