The cistern's buttons have stopped working, the flush mechanism still works, but the buttons do not function. Description of the issue from the tenant: "The toilet itself is still flushing normally, but the flush buttons are not operational. My toilet had been running/trickling for a while and now it wont flush because there is no water in the sistern. I have turned the water inlet off so that is stops running.

Our ensuite bathroom toilet is draining pretty slowly after a flush. We believe there may be a blockage (everything else in the house is draining fine). We tried to plunge it last night for quite awhile but we couldn’t get a good seal so it wasn’t really doing anything. We tried the dishwashing liquid trick and we left it overnight. My partner flushed the toilet this morning a few times and said it was fine. I tried it a couple of hours later and it’s now back to draining slowly and the water level is higher than normal in the bowl. I’m hoping it’ll be a quick 5 minute job for someone who’s done this kind of thing before, neither my partner or I are handymen!

Toilet continues to flush water (does not stop) after pressing flush button, need to manually turn off water supply to toilet resovior. Lifting the resoivoir lid and replacing sometimes fixes it.
